Ouzo drinking is an art. Apparently. Or maybe it’s a way of life. Whatever it is, Greece is known for its ouzo. Most cafe owners admit that the best ouzo comes from the island of Lesvos, also known as Mytilin. These ouzo sweets are from a local Greek sweet shop (in lieu of us not being able to share a toast in person!). This shop is full of different kinds of candy, sweets, dried fruits and nuts. In Athens, shops are located according to content, so you can wander past several shops that sell similar items. Each area has its own feel as well, which you come to experience as you walk around.
