The concept and significance of the evil eye is especially prominent in the Mediterranean and West Asia. Being given the evil eye as a “look” is believed to bring bad luck and these talismans redirect that negative energy to protect us from evil spirits. You can find many mass-produced glass ‘eyes’ in nearly every shop in the local market. This ceramic version is a unique handmade piece. The ceramicist is a local Greek artist who only supplies one shop in the whole of the city!
